Most Generous City in the UK at Christmas

This time of year brings an increase in job opportunities for postal staff as we rush to get seasonal cheer through the letter boxes of friends and families. Cards have proven to be the most popular product to be sent throughout December since 2014, calendars second, according to our unique data that we’ve brought out for the season.

The tool that we’ve created for this festive occasion tells us the most generous names of who sends the most cards with Sarah being in the top spot. We’ve also investigated regions and cities too, which has given us insight into the most giving cities across the UK at Christmas time:

1 – London
2 – Glasgow
3 – Manchester
4 – Birmingham
5 – Liverpool
6 – Bristol
7 – Nottingham
8 – Leeds
9 – Sheffield
10 – Leicester

The capital came out in first place with Edinburgh in 18th and Cardiff ranking 28th. Further down the rankings were Middlesbrough and Sunderland in the last two positions on the top 50 list.

When looking further at city comparisons, Cambridge ranked 67th and Oxford came in 107th place.
